Effective August 24, 2026
In short
Full Page Screenshot & PDF captures and edits your screenshot entirely inside your own browser. Your captured page, annotations, and edited image are never uploaded to any server. The only thing that ever leaves your device is a small, anonymous usage count (like "a capture happened") sent to Google Analytics. Never the image itself, never page content, never anything that identifies you.
Full Page Screenshot & PDF scrolls through the current tab, stitches the result into one full-page image, and opens it in a built-in editor where you can annotate it (text, shapes, arrows, blur/redact, callouts, and more) before exporting it as a PNG or PDF, sharing it, or copying selectable text straight off the page.
All capturing, stitching, and editing happens locally in your browser. The image is only saved or sent anywhere when you click Download or Share.
We collect a small amount of anonymous, aggregate usage data via Google Analytics (GA4), so we can see roughly how many people use the extension, which countries they're using it from, and how often the capture feature is used. Specifically:
We do not collect your captured images, the pages you visit, the text you annotate, your browsing history, or any personally identifiable information.
A capture is held temporarily in Chrome's local storage (chrome.storage.local) just long enough to open the editor, then removed. Anything you draw or type in the editor stays in that browser tab's memory until you export it. It is never synced to a server or accessible to us, to the sites you visit, or to any other extension.
Capture history: your last 50 captures (the image, the page title and its address) are also kept in the extension's own storage on your device (IndexedDB), so you can reopen, download or delete them from Capture history. They never leave your browser, and you can delete any or all of them there at any time. Your editor settings (for example the PDF page size) are kept the same way.
| Permission | Why it's needed |
|---|---|
| activeTab | To capture and read text from the page you're currently viewing, only when you click the capture button. |
| scripting | To scroll the page and extract selectable text during capture. |
| downloads | To save your exported PNG, JPG or PDF file when you choose to download it. |
| storage / unlimitedStorage | To temporarily hold the captured image while the editor loads, to keep your local capture history and editor settings on your device, and to store the random anonymous analytics ID mentioned above. |
This extension deliberately does not request broad host permissions (like access to "all websites at all times"). It only ever acts on the tab you're actively viewing, and only when you start a capture.
The only third party involved is Google Analytics, used solely for the anonymous, aggregate usage statistics described above. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles that data on its end.
This extension is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from anyone, regardless of age.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published here with a new effective date. Continued use of the extension after a change means you accept the revised policy.
Questions about this policy or the extension can be sent to toolfi.ai26@gmail.com.
